Riyadh · Independent advisory

Five doors.
One knock.

Independent commercial judgment for technology investments and projects in Saudi Arabia.

Before you commit the budget, sign the quotation or start the project, make sure the case holds on the ground. I test the assumptions, check what it will really cost, and handle the project on your side when you are ready to move.

The first knock is a free 30-minute call, in Arabic or English.

A promising idea is not always a viable business.

A supplier quotation is not always a fair price.

A market opportunity is not always an executable plan.

How it works

Knock once. See how many doors your request has.

The first three steps cost nothing. You request a quote only once the picture is right.

  1. 1FREE

    The first knock

A 30-minute call. Tell me the decision, the deadline and what you already have.

  2. 2FREE

    How many doors?

An initial business case: the high-level options your request opens, and how they compare.

  3. 3FREE

    Correct the picture

We go through the options together and correct any assumption before anything is quoted.

  4. 4YOUR CHOICE

    Choose a door

Pick the service that fits and request a quote. Scope and terms are agreed before any paid work.

Step 2 · Example

ILLUSTRATIVE

One request.
Four doors.

The request

“We want to invest in digital infrastructure.”

The initial business case maps each door at a high level: what it involves, what it may cost and what still needs checking. You choose with the full picture in front of you.

The five doors

Five ways to engage. One consistent standard.

Choose the door that matches the decision in front of you. Every door ends by naming the next step.

01

Judgment Call

“I need a clear second opinion.”

  • A quick call: 60 minutes on one question
  • Or 90 minutes and a one-page recommendation within 48 hours
  • An open line: prepaid calls when you need them
02FLAGSHIP

Ground Floor

“I need to know whether the numbers hold.”

  • A supplier quotation, checked line by line
  • A full business case, across six dimensions
  • Ends with a verdict, a chosen path and an action plan
03

Special Request

“I need to find, verify or evaluate something specific.”

  • Supplier discovery and market intelligence
  • The right Saudi expert, screened and briefed
  • I sit in and write the findings note
04

Execution

“I know what needs to happen. I need it handled.”

  • I handle the project on your side, from plan to handover
  • Vendors, changes, risks and a weekly report
  • Saudi leads on the ground, documented for your requirements
05

Build Together

“There is an opportunity worth pursuing together.”

  • Selective advisory or venture-building
  • Or a formal operating role
  • Agreed individually, documented separately

Door 02 · Ground Floor · The flagship

Ground truth.
Before the commitment.

Does the business case hold? Is the quotation fair? What will it really cost?

A business case can look convincing on a slide and still fail once supplier prices, delivery requirements, compliance obligations and operating costs are examined on the ground in Saudi Arabia.

A

Does your business case hold?

Commercial assumptions, expected costs, the financial model, key risks and practical dependencies.

B

Is the quotation fair and complete?

Scope, pricing, assumptions, exclusions and terms, compared with alternative quotes or credible benchmarks.

From verdict to handover

  1. 1 · VERDICT

    Does it hold?

Holds, holds with changes, or doesn’t hold.

  2. 2 · PATH

    You choose the path

The option that survives the evidence.

  3. 3 · GROUNDWORK

    Vendors lined up

    Requotes, clarifications and a shortlist.

  4. 4 · ACTION PLAN

    The first 30 days

    Milestones and owners.

  5. NEXT DOOR · 04

    Handled

If you want it, I run the project on your side.

Six dimensions. One commercial view.

01

Supplier evidence

Quotations for the main cost components: scope, exclusions, validity and open questions.

02

Compliance and delivery

Regulatory and delivery requirements, and the costs still to verify.

03

Total cost of ownership

Acquisition, implementation, maintenance, refresh, energy and support over the agreed period.

04

Site, power and implementation

Site and power dependencies, delivery milestones and critical-path risks.

05

Five- and ten-year scenarios

Base, upside and downside cases, and the assumptions that move them.

06

Risks and actions

Material risks, mitigations, owners and the next steps to close open questions.

A decision, not just a report

Holds

The evidence supports going ahead within the stated assumptions.

Holds with changes

Specific assumptions, costs or risks must be dealt with first.

Doesn’t hold

The case is not supported well enough to go ahead as proposed.

Every material number has a source

QUOTE

A documented supplier quotation.

ON-GROUND

Direct, project-specific observation or verified information.

BENCHMARK

A relevant external reference or comparable data.

ESTIMATE

Built from stated assumptions where stronger evidence is not available.

Where the evidence allows, the target is total cost within about ±20%. That is a planning target that depends on the evidence, not a guarantee.

On every door

The same standard, whichever door you take.

  • A clean start

Conflicts of interest are checked before we talk.

  • A fast reply

An answer within 24 hours, and a call within five business days.

  • Labelled numbers

Quote, on-ground, benchmark or estimate. Never unlabelled.

  • Clear terms first

Scope, deliverables and fees are agreed before paid work starts.

  • No vendor fees

You pay for the assessment. Suppliers never pay me to steer it.

About Faisal

Independent thinking. Evidence before assumptions. An honest recommendation, even when the answer is no.

I’m Faisal Almofeez, based in Riyadh. For more than seven years I have sold enterprise cloud and AI to the Saudi public sector and regulated industries. I know how these projects are priced, bought and delivered here, and where business cases tend to break.

That is the ground truth I bring to your decision. When a question needs a specialist, such as an engineer, a lawyer or a regulator-facing advisor, I say so and scope it separately.
